Communicare Trust, in collaboration with the Krishnadas Shama Goa State Central Library, organized the second edition of Scrabble in Portuguese for the students of High Schools and Higher Secondary Schools in North Goa. The Contest had 20 participants from 7 schools across North Goa in 8 teams, 4 teams from the High Schools and 4 from the Higher Secondary Schools.

The winners from the High schools were Steffi Castellino and Aditi Diniz from Mary Immaculate High School Panjim and the winners from the Higher Secondary Schools were Lisa Maria Pinto and Ruxandro D’Souza from Don Bosco’s Higher Secondary School.

The winners walked away with a package full of goodies sent all the way from Portugal.

Communicare Trust hopes to encourage the study of various languages, through contests and programs such as these, among today’s student population.
